We are excited to announce Present Perspective: Brooks Institute’s Faculty & Staff Exhibition 2012. The running dates for this show will be June 29 – August 27, 2012. This is a call for entries to Brooks Institute’s Faculty and Staff exhibition of 2012 about the present. This exhibition is focusing on now: an introduction to views of today, current ideas, it is about the moments shaping this decade. Photography, art, design have always been interested in moments of time, and today we see more photography, design and art being produced than ever before. This exhibition is a chance to see the outstanding photographic/design/film merit of the faculty members and staff who motivate and set the bar for creative expression for the Brooks Institute student body and public.

 

Submissions for this will need to be turned in digitally via email by April 16th. Depending on the response we will be able to determine how many images to include from each faculty and staff member.

 

Criteria for submission:

-    Must be a current full/part-time Faculty or Staff member at Brooks Institute

-    Work submitted must have been created between January 2010 and April 2012

-    Work must have an accompanying Artist Statement, Bio, and Current CV

 

What to Submit:

-    A single work or cohesive body of work

-    Idea: Present Perspective. What is worth looking at now?

-    Any technique or medium taught or fostered here at Brooks Institute

-    Portraiture, advertising, architecture, fashion, travel, graphic design, journalism, photo narrative, film, etc.

 

How to Submit:

-    Email 1-15 images to: jgroves@brooks.edu with the email subject of ‘Faculty / Staff Exhibit’

-    Image Files should be JPEG files sized 1000 px longest side

-    Include Artist Statement, Bio, CV, Titles and Dates of works submitted.

-    Include final print/object size or sizes of works.

-    Due Date: April 16th
